4 Best Clubs in Milan for Different Nights Out

Choose your Milan club by the music and the room, not just its reputation. The Club pairs house and electronic DJs with a dressed-up social scene; Alcatraz offers a large, mixed-genre dance venue. Tunnel Club draws electronic-music fans into railway arches, while Volt keeps the night in a compact central room.

The Duomo is a useful starting point for comparing the evening journeys. Entry arrangements differ just as much as the settings: a presale option at one club does not mean you can buy ahead at another.

Milan suits both dressed-up clubbing and music-led electronic nights. Pick The Club for a fashionable DJ night, Alcatraz for a group with varied musical tastes, Tunnel for its underground railway setting or Volt for a smaller central room. Programming and crowds depend on the event, so choose the night as well as the venue.

Clubbing usually starts late, with the dancefloor building after midnight. Where no event tariff applies, allow roughly €15–€30 for entry, with bigger-name nights costing more. Drinks commonly run around €10–€15, depending on the order and venue.

A ticket buys admission under its conditions, while a guest list is an entry arrangement, not a reserved seat. A table is a separate group purchase, usually tied to bottles and an allocated area.

The Club

The Club is the choice for a dressed-up house and electronic DJ night with a social crowd. Young, fashionable Milanese clubbers mix with visitors around the dancefloor. VIP tables beside the DJ booth and a Super VIP area make it a different proposition from Tunnel’s music-first railway room. The layout and table offers depend on the event.

Presale is optional, and guest-list inclusion is not compulsory. Choose the entry arrangement that fits your group rather than assuming you need both. The admission prices in the comparison and card apply to Saturday 3 October 2026, not every night.

  • Dancefloor table for that event: €400, with two bottles and up to 12 entries.
  • VIP by the DJ booth: €440, with two bottles and up to 12 entries.
  • Super VIP: from €600, with two bottles and up to 12 entries; advance booking required, for groups aged 21 and over.
  • Cloakroom for that event: €5 per item.

From the Duomo, take M1 to Cadorna, change to M2 for Moscova, then walk to Corso Garibaldi. The evening journey takes about 19 minutes. The final street approach brings you into the Garibaldi area rather than a detached warehouse setting.

Alcatraz

Alcatraz offers a large warehouse-format night for a group that wants more than one musical style. Its three rooms cover electronic music, techno, hip-hop, trap and reggaeton, attracting a broader mix than the smaller electronic rooms. The recurring themes are an international Friday and a Saturday focused on the 1990s and 2000s.

Saturday dance events open at 23:00. Finishing times belong to the individual party, with Rebel Night, for example, running to 05:00. Buy for the dance night, not a concert: Alcatraz hosts both, and concert admission is a different purchase. Club tickets are available online or at the door, so buying ahead is optional.

Club admission is for people over 18, with a valid original identity document required. A photograph or copy will not get you through the entrance. The admission bands in the comparison and card are a historical Saturday-event example, not a current venue-wide tariff.

From the Duomo, take M3 to Maciachini, then walk to Via Valtellina in the Farini area. The evening journey takes about 22 minutes, with no metro interchange.

Tunnel Club

Tunnel Club’s railway-arch room is the reason to choose it over a polished central club. Beneath the approaches to Centrale station, its tunnel-like setting suits a night centred on electronic music, with house, techno and trance associations.

Expect electronic-music fans and an underground crowd rather than The Club’s dress-to-impress social scene. Clothes tend to be stylish but relaxed. Choose Tunnel if the music and railway setting matter more to you than VIP tables. Volt offers the contrasting option of a compact room in the centre.

From the Duomo, take M1 to Pasteur, then walk to Via Sammartini. The evening journey takes about 24 minutes. The destination is alongside the railway approaches, not inside Centrale station.

Volt Club

Volt Club is the choice for house, techno and electronica in a compact central room. Its Via Molino delle Armi location gives it a different setting from Tunnel’s railway arches, without Alcatraz’s large, multi-room format. The crowd follows the event, so the music is a better guide to your choice than a fixed idea of who goes.

Tickets are sold at the door only, with no presale option. The event-dependent admission range in the comparison and card makes the particular night important to your budget. Guest-list inclusion is not compulsory, but management retains selection at the entrance: turning up to buy a ticket does not guarantee admission.

From the Duomo, you can walk to Volt through the central streets towards Via Molino delle Armi. Allow about 16 minutes for the route. Nearby Piazza Vetra places the club on the southern side of the historic centre, close to the Porta Ticinese area rather than the northern railway districts.

Night buses and taxis home

Choose the way home by your accommodation, not just the club. After the metro closes, its replacement buses NM1, NM2, NM3 and NM4 operate every night. The Club’s Garibaldi area and Tunnel’s Centrale setting make the NM2 corridor relevant, while for Alcatraz in Farini, the Maciachini approach connects your return with NM3.

NM2 runs from Piazza Abbiategrasso across the city towards its eastern endpoint. NM3 follows the San Donato–Comasina corridor. A bus is useful when your accommodation lies along the relevant line and you are comfortable with the walk at each end.

The ordinary single ticket costs €2.20. Daily, three-day and multi-journey tickets covering the city and its immediate suburbs are also accepted, as is the urban pass.

Use a licensed taxi when the bus would leave a long final walk, especially with a group or accommodation away from the corridors. Volt can suit a walk home if you are staying centrally, but decide whether the remaining streets and distance suit you before setting out.

Is Milan Safe at Night? Walking and Getting Back

Yes, Milan is generally safe for ordinary evening visits, with caution around crowded transport and on isolated streets once activity subsides.
