Venice Beach Clubs: Lido Day Hire and Prices

Venice’s beach clubs are on the Lido, across the lagoon from the historic centre. Bluemoon and Paradise Beach offer public day hire of umbrellas and sunbeds, while San Nicoletto offers free access to the sand if you bring your own equipment. The useful choice is between paying for shade and seating and arranging a simpler beach break yourself. Published tariffs below are for 2026, with their package and seasonal qualifications.

The Lido is the barrier island separating Venice’s lagoon from the Adriatic. Choose a serviced beach if you want shade and a seat without carrying beach equipment. A rented position gives you somewhere to sit or lie on the sand, while a private changing cabin serves a different purpose and does not replace beach seating.

A Lido visit is worthwhile if you want time by the sea rather than another stretch of sightseeing. Allow for the boat crossing and the onward journey to the shore, and Lido beach journeys explains that part of the day before you decide which equipment to hire.

Sunbeds, umbrellas and published day prices

Choose the equipment configuration first, then the beach row. Bluemoon and Paradise Beach publish daily package charges rather than a single admission price. A position closer to the sea can cost more, so compare like-for-like equipment rather than treating the lowest amount as the price of every spot.

Bluemoon

Bluemoon offers public full-day hire on a sea beach recognised for bathing. Its Comfort packages have two MAXI sunbeds, while the Relax configuration is labelled MAX + UNDER 12. The umbrella-and-two-sunbed package is for two people, so choose equipment for your party rather than treating an umbrella as unlimited group space.

Umbrella hire includes shared changing rooms and toilets, outdoor cold-water showers and indoor hot-and-cold showers. You do not need to hire a private cabin just to change. Separate cabin hire gives you a private changing space.

Paradise Beach

Paradise Beach offers public full-day umbrella-and-sunbed hire. Choose one sunbed for a solo visit or two if both travellers want a lounger. Prices vary with the beach row within the ranges below. The charge covers the equipment package for the day: the two-sunbed price is not an amount to multiply by each traveller. Its coast was suitable for bathing at the start of the 2026 season.

Preparing for day hire and cancellation

  1. Choose your date and the umbrella-and-sunbed configuration for your party.
  2. Confirm the beach area, row and allocated position before using the equipment.
  3. Keep your purchase confirmation accessible on arrival.
  4. Bring a towel for your lounger and for changing after a swim.

Use the position allocated to your purchase, rather than choosing an empty umbrella elsewhere. The row is part of what you have paid for. At Bluemoon, the cancellation choice also matters if your beach day depends on the weather.

Free beach time at San Nicoletto

San Nicoletto has no admission charge, making it an alternative if you prefer your own towel and shade to a hired position. It lies towards the northern end of the Lido, beside the San Nicolò dune landscape. Free access to the sand does not include paid rental services.

Beach cleaning and maintenance cover the access paths and areas, with waste bins at the main entrances to the protected area.

Do

Don’t

  • Trample or cross the dunes.
  • Use rented umbrellas or sunbeds without hiring them.

Bluemoon’s autumn activity extension

Bluemoon’s activities continue through 31 October 2026. Treat that autumn extension as an opportunity to visit the venue, not as a guarantee of umbrella-and-sunbed hire throughout the period.

Bluemoon’s listed 2026 opening date was 18 April. For an autumn visit, decide whether you want time at the venue or a day with hired shade and loungers before choosing your date.
