Scottsdale Wine Bars for a Glass and a Bite

For a seated glass with something to eat, The Wine Collective of Scottsdale suits exploring Arizona producers, while Los Milics pairs its own estate wines with fresh mozzarella. Wine Girl adds tap wines and flatbread in Old Town. Further north, Postino Kierland centres the food order on bruschetta boards, and Pinard Wine Bar & Lounge offers an international by-the-glass list with small plates.

These rounded allowances cover one glass and a small bite, sharing a flatbread, board or plate where appropriate, before sales tax and tip. Pricier pours or an unshared dish move you towards the upper end. US menu prices generally exclude sales tax, and a tip of around 18–20% of the pre-tax bill is customary for table service.

Ask for seats for wine and food rather than a takeaway bottle. Arrange a table ahead for a group, and leave longer for a tasting than a single glass. For a full meal, the Scottsdale restaurant picks offer a food-first alternative.

The Wine Collective of Scottsdale

The Wine Collective of Scottsdale brings together wines from multiple independent Arizona wineries in an Old Town tasting room and bottle shop. It is a useful choice when you want to explore the state’s wines without restricting yourself to one estate. Start with an Arizona wine by the glass and marinated olives, or add prosciutto crudo, dry-cured ham, for a more substantial accompaniment.

Take a seat for wine and food rather than treating the visit as a bottle-shop errand. A glass lets you settle on one wine and spend the rest of the pause eating and talking. A flight or tasting makes comparing wines the main activity, with more attention given to the different pours.

Some tasting experiences require reservations, and groups of six or more should call ahead. Make clear whether you want a tasting or simply a seated glass with food when arranging the visit.

Wine Girl

Wine Girl makes rotating wines on tap with flatbread pizza the focus of an Old Town stop. Order a glass from the tap selection if you want one wine to accompany the food, or choose a flight when sampling several pours is the attraction. The rotation means the wine choice is part of the visit rather than a fixed label to plan around.

Table service lets you make this a seated wine-and-food pause. Share the flatbread if you want a bite rather than a meal, and choose your wine before adding more food. Reservations can be requested for the Scottsdale branch.

The summer service schedule runs every day. Its early-week afternoon starts matter if you are thinking of stopping for wine with lunch.

Los Milics Tasting Room & Mozzarella Bar

Los Milics Tasting Room & Mozzarella Bar pairs its Arizona estate wines with fresh, hand-pulled mozzarella prepared in an open kitchen. The food is part of the reason to choose this Old Town tasting room, not just an accompaniment to a formal tasting. Take a seat for Matt’s, a Petit Manseng blend served by the glass, with mozzarella.

For a shared bite, the charcuterie box gives you another way to keep the visit centred on wine without ordering a full meal. Shared plates and wine tastings both belong here, so decide whether you want to explore several wines or settle into one glass with food. The tasting room is in Suite 101 at 7045 East 3rd Avenue.

A Tuesday–Thursday afternoon visit fits both service windows: the wine-and-mozzarella menu has a broader daytime window than the tasting-room visit hours. For a Monday stop, use the tasting-room weekday window rather than the menu schedule.

Postino Kierland

Postino Kierland is the north Scottsdale wine café to choose for a bruschetta board with a glass of wine. Bruschetta is topped toasted bread, and the brie, apple and fig combination gives you a creamy, fruity option to include in the order. This is the Kierland branch, on East Greenway Parkway, rather than an Old Town stop.

A board comes with four pieces. Share it to keep the food order a small bite, or keep the board for yourself if you want a more substantial food stop. Other topping choices include ricotta with dates and pistachio, and mushroom with mascarpone, so the board need not revolve around a single flavour.

Seated food-and-wine service and reservations suit a planned pause in the Kierland area. Choose this branch because the board is what you want to eat, with the glass accompanying it.

Pinard Wine Bar & Lounge

Pinard Wine Bar & Lounge suits a north Scottsdale stop for an international wine by the glass with a small plate. Choose Masi Masianco Pinot Grigio from Italy with crab cakes. Its by-the-glass range reaches beyond Europe to New Zealand, Argentina and the United States, so you can choose by country as well as wine style.

Although Pinard is also a full-service restaurant, a glass and a small plate make a seated visit in their own right. There is no need to turn the stop into a full dinner. Crab cakes keep the order focused, while beef skewers or Cubano empanadas offer alternatives if you prefer a different bite.

The venue is at 20469 North Hayden Road. Arrive during Aperitivo, its happy hour, for discounted wine and selected food on days it opens. The food discount applies to selected dishes, so choose from that selection if the saving is part of your plan.
